Email hello@gethousecat.app — we read every message and usually reply within two business days. Please tell us your device model, iOS version, what you were doing, and roughly when the problem happened. That helps us narrow down privacy-preserving operational events; our logs use keyed tags rather than raw account, email, transaction, or task identifiers.
Common questions
- How do I set my wallpaper?
- Save the finished Live Photo to your library, then open Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper, tap Photos → Live Photo, choose the one you saved, make sure the play button is on, then tap Add. Your cat appears when you raise the phone. (Animated Lock Screen wallpaper requires iOS 17 or later.)
- My Lock Screen isn't moving.
- Check that the LIVE PHOTO toggle was on when you set the wallpaper. iOS also plays the motion only when you raise or tap the screen — not continuously.
- The portrait doesn't look like my cat.
- That's what the free test shot is for — you can take 3 free test shots in total; every shot you buy includes up to 3 more before filming. If the finished film isn't the take you wanted, a retake costs one shot.
- How long does it take?
- The test shot takes a minute or two; the film takes about five or six minutes. You can leave the app — we'll pick up where you left off.
- Restoring purchases
- Sign in first — your shots live on your Housecat account, not on the device. Open Settings inside the app (gear icon, top right of Home), sign in with Apple, Google, or email if you haven't already, then tap "Restore purchases". Free test shots don't require signing in. On any device, signing in to the same Housecat account brings back the shots on that account; subscription benefits also require the same Apple Account you originally purchased with.
- Refunds
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Deleting your data
- Access to your original photo ends within 48 hours of upload, with automatic physical-deletion retries if storage is temporarily unavailable. Your test-shot portrait and finished wallpaper stay in your account so you can view them in History and save again; they are removed when you delete your account. Delete your account in the app: gear icon → Delete my account and data. Account access, sessions, shots, history, and media access are removed in the deletion transaction; physical file/third-party cleanup and database-journal compaction may finish asynchronously. The service keeps a privacy-preserving deletion receipt for up to 30 days so the app can recover a lost response. Minimum pseudonymous purchase/refund and device-security records remain only for the purposes and periods in our Privacy Policy. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
- What can I upload?
- Photos of your own pet, and nothing else. Please don't upload photos of people, photos you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful. We may refuse a request, delete what was made from it, and close the account of anyone who does.

常见问题
- 怎么设成壁纸？
- 把做好的实况照片存进相册，然后打开「设置」→「墙纸」→「添加新墙纸」，点「照片」→「实况照片」，选中刚保存的那张，确认播放按钮已开启，再点「添加」。抬起手机它就会出来。（会动的锁屏墙纸需要 iOS 17 或更高版本。）
- 锁屏上不动怎么办？
- 先确认设壁纸时「实况」开关是打开的。另外 iOS 只在你抬起手机或点按屏幕时播放动效，不会一直循环。
- 写真不像我家猫？
- 这正是免费试镜的用途——正式开拍前免费试镜一共 3 次；每购买 1 张，都含最多 3 次试镜。如果成片的动作不满意，重拍一次算一张。
- 要等多久？
- 试镜一两分钟，成片大约五六分钟。中途可以退出 App，回来接着看进度。
- 恢复购买
- 先登录再恢复：张数挂在住了只猫账号上，不挂设备。在 App 内「设置」（首页右上角齿轮）里用 Apple、Google 或邮箱登录（如果还没登录），再点「恢复购买」。免费试镜不需要登录。换任何设备，只要登录同一个住了只猫账号，该账号名下的张数就跟着回来；订阅权益还需要用当初购买所用的同一个 Apple 账户。
- 退款
- 付款由苹果处理，退款请到 reportaproblem.apple.com 申请。
- 删除数据
- 你的原图最迟在上传 48 小时后终止访问；如果存储暂时不可用，物理删除会自动重试。做好的试镜写真和成片会保留在你的账号里，供你在「历史」里查看和重新保存，删除账号时一并删除。删除账号：首页右上角齿轮 → 「删除账号和数据」。删除事务会移除账号访问、会话、张数、历史和媒体访问；物理文件/第三方清理与数据库日志压缩可能异步完成。服务端会保留最长 30 天的隐私保护型删除回执，供 App 恢复丢失的响应。最少的伪名购买/退款与设备安全记录只按隐私政策所述目的和期限保留。删除账号不会取消 Apple 订阅。
- 可以上传什么？
- 只能上传你有权使用的自家宠物照片。请勿上传人物照片、无权使用或违法的内容。我们可能拒绝处理、删除相关内容，并停用违规账号。
